Building waterproofing engineering is a crucial component of building construction, as it directly impacts safety, service life, and overall economic and social well-being. Its application spans various sectors, including infrastructure projects such as subways, highways, railways, water conservancy, and hydropower, as well as industrial and residential buildings. As the sole national key laboratory in China dedicated to building waterproofing, our laboratory focuses on fundamental research related to the application of waterproof materials in specialized service environments. We also conduct research on cutting-edge issues in waterproof material science, addressing crucial application challenges in China's national economic development, such as specialization,
functionality, and environmental sustainability of waterproof materials. Guided by the principles of green innovation and development, we adhere to the core ideas of original innovation, integrated innovation, and the assimilation, digestion, absorption, and re-innovation of knowledge. Our efforts include the formulation of international, national, and industry standards, as well as the establishment of a research and development platform dedicated to major generic key technologies and forward-looking, cutting-edge technologies in waterproof materials. We are committed to driving the advancement of cutting-edge technologies in this field.
