Beijing, August 27, 2026 — OYH and CIDB Holdings Sdn. Bhd. signed three memoranda of understanding at OYH’s Beijing headquarters, marking a new step in OYH’s long-term development in Malaysia’s construction materials sector.

CIDB Holdings Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, visited OYH from August 26 to 27. During the visit, both sides held in-depth discussions on standards alignment, product testing and conformity assessment, laboratory capability development, and professional training for waterproofing and mortar systems.

The MoUs reflect a shared focus on moving beyond product supply toward deeper local capability building. Through cooperation with local industry partners, OYH aims to support more reliable materials, verifiable testing, and consistent application practices for Malaysia’s construction sector.

Under the MoUs, the two sides will explore cooperation in building-material testing and evaluation, quality assurance, technical exchange, capability building, and quality-oriented construction practices. Related work will include laboratory capability development aligned with ISO/IEC 17025, covering waterproofing membranes, waterproofing coatings, cementitious waterproofing materials, mortar, and related systems.

The cooperation will also explore professional training and potential certification pathways for waterproofing and mortar applications in Malaysia. Key areas include system design, substrate preparation, membrane and coating application, detailing, quality acceptance, defect management, and occupational safety. The two sides will further study the feasibility of establishing a building-material technology and training center in Malaysia.

During the visit, the CIDB Holdings delegation toured the China Building Waterproofing Museum, OYH’s corporate exhibition hall, the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Waterproof Materials, and OYH Technical Training Academy in Shunyi. These visits provided a closer look at OYH’s industry experience, research and testing platforms, and professional training capabilities.

As Malaysia’s construction market continues to develop, demand is growing for durable, compliant, and professionally applied building materials. By working with CIDB Holdings, OYH looks to contribute to a more quality-driven construction materials ecosystem through standards alignment, testing capability, and professional skills development.
